Author Michael Bast’s debut novel, “Death’sAcademy,” was released January 14, 2014 and is available in bookstores and from online retailers.
A rite of passage for all young grim reapers is their attendance
at Death’s Academy. It’s where they find out what kind of reaper they will be,
a reaper for cats, hamsters or, if they’re lucky, for shorties like you and me.
Midnight Smith is a grim reaper and is about to take the
entrance exam to get into Death’s Academy, but he’s got a problem. He sucks at
exams. What he doesn't know is that the exam will be the least of his worries
soon enough, because when the adult Grim Reapers and Guardian Angels go on their
yearly retreat, the time will be ripe for an old enemy to strike. The only ones
left to stop the attack are Midnight and his friends—and this is something he
just can't fail at.
Praise for “Death’s Academy”:
“What a trip! Bast delivers a rip-roaring adventure through the afterlife and Midnight Smith is by far my favorite Hoodie. ‘Death's Academy is wicked fun!’” - Frank L. Cole, author of the Hashbrown Winters series.
