Out of Breath by Scott Brighton

Out of Breath
By Scott Brighton

"You see Quincy, I've got big plans. I am going to be a captain of industry and build up an empire. I am going to head up a corporation bigger, more powerful, and more influential than half the countries in the world. I'm going to be the top 1% of the 1%. The possibilities are limitless; the world is ours for the taking, and I want you to join me and be my equal partner."

I knew there was no chance I would ever be his equal partner. Martin was a dirty rotten, low-down, good-for-nothing, cheating sociopath, who would use me as long as it suited him, and then he would throw me under the bus without the slightest compunction and go find someone else to exploit.

But I told him yes anyway, because it would be so much easier for me to kill him if I got close to him; if I fostered his trust in me. My head was spinning, fueled by the adrenalin rush pulsing through my brain. The only thing I was certain of, was that Martin had to die. I was going to kill him for what he had done.

Out Of Breath, is a fast-paced thrill ride through a story of revenge, betrayal and deceit between two of the world's leading biotech drug developers caught in a desperate blood feud even as they discover a miracle drug which promises to revolutionize the worlds of science and medicine.
