The world of book publishing is evolving at a rapid pace. Published, popular authors are turning away from their previous publishers and beginning to self-publish e-books through Amazon and Barnes and Noble instead. (Why? Money, control, and time. The authors make more money per book, they have more control over the content of the book, and in most cases, can get it published much sooner, and receive the money they earned much faster). But even the most popular of authors have trouble getting the word out to readers and fans about new self-published books.
This blog is here to serve as a way for authors to spread the word to their readers that they have something new out there (and it is free)! Obviously, this works both ways, as it also helps readers find out when their favorite authors have a new independent work.

This site generally discusses books for Mormon readers, but this comment box appears to be for "an LDS fiction writer." I would be very interested in getting the word out about my newest book, a non-fiction doctrinal book about the Book of Mormon. Are you open to getting the word out for this type of book as well?
