C.L. Woodward grew up as the odd kid who used to be made fun of for it (he had dyslexia which effected his speech). He was never popular nor did well in school and sort of had more dreams crushed than he cares to count. It wasn't until shortly after his father's death, that he decided to try writing. He had some friends who wanted to start a book on their own and he ended up helping them with ideas. That led him to decide to try it. For the first time it felt like something he really enjoyed doing appeared as a somewhat realistic career choice. He has a hyperactive imagination and always enjoyed fantasy so it was natural to start a fantasy series. Although he also has plans to write non-fantasy novels in the future.
